Why choose The Spring Playgroup for your child?

The Spring Playgroup and Preschool is a warm and welcoming environment, with a well established team from all walks of life.  They understand that family life can be messy and complicated and they are here to support you, not to make you feel judged.

All staff are first aid trained, and update their knowledge on various training courses throughout the year.  Children are encouraged to thrive in the setting using our unique planning system of learning through play using the child’s individual interests.

Play that the weather does not restrict: We have a large outside area with different surfaces, including all-weather ones, to explore. On days that outside is unavailable, there is a large indoor area where the children can still run and play, and keep active. A free-flow system is used where possible so the children can choose themselves if they want to play in different areas.

The playgroup is situated in a modern, ventilated building in beautiful natural surroundings, and has the added bonus of free parking (and the gym next door if you are feeling active!).

The Spring Playgroup is a non-profit-making, charity-run organisation. We believe every child should benefit from high-quality early years education. For this reason we have never charged top-up fees. 

You will receive a baseline report after your child has settled in, and thereafter twice-yearly reports written by their assigned key-person, and a paper-based record of their achievement upon leaving.

Safeguarding is naturally an absolute priority for us. There is nothing more important than the safety and wellbeing of the children.  Everything that our ‘playgroup family’ learns about your child and family remains confidential, with information stored securely; except where we become concerned that a someone is not safe. In that situation, we will support you to protect your child, and we have a legal duty to refer those concerns so that the right help can be accessed.
